Did Russia interfere in the 2016 election?

If Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is anything to go by, then yes.

So far, his probe into Trump’s connections with Russia has produced 35 indictments, including four former members of Trump’s campaign.

The media’s coverage of this story has been relentless, but election meddling is by no means a new phenomenon, in fact, the US has been doing it for decades.

As Thomas Kelsall explains, the historical context of electoral intervention has been lost in a hyper partisan era and we need to be more aware of our own crimes before we criticize others.
